With this device , you can make 16 taper candles.
We designed this tool mostly for small candle makers or hobby makers who don’t want to spend lots money to buy the expensive big dipping rack and the big wax pot;
It works very well with the 4 lb wax pouring pot; if you only have the small 2 lb pot, you can just use the inner circle to make 8 candles;
If you wish to make long tapers, you just need to use a deeper wax pot.
Tips for making beautiful dipped tapers:
1. I suggest to use flat braided wick.
2. tie the nuts at the end to add weight so that your candles would be straight;
3. Wax temperature for dipping: around 170 F
4. dip with slow & steady motion
5. allow the candles to cool a little between dips.
6. Cut off the nuts when the candles reach the ideal thickness you want and then dip a few more layers to add a finish coat.
