*** The candle mold come with 1 long split for easy release, the design was originally a candle braided with 6 tapers. A finished candle is over 10â long, about 1.25â wide, weighs about 2.4 ozs.
*** The candle mold requires a taper mold holder for support, we have mold holders available for purchase or you may use a diy holder of your own.
*** The matching holder mold was designed exactly for the candle, it comes with split for easy release as well. you can pour in concrete to make your own holder for the candle. itâs designed with holly leaves on both sides and two bees on top.

We have a few more braided candle mold designs available. I originally created these designs by handâstarting with long, skinny tapers made from my taper mold, then braiding them to achieve the shape before making the molds. Itâs a beautiful process, but itâs also time-intensive.
I know many candle makers donât have the equipmentâlike taper molds or a taper dipperâto easily create long, narrow tapers, and donât have the time to braid them by hand. Thatâs exactly why I developed these molds: to make the whole process so much simpler and more accessible.
Whether youâre drawn to the look of braided candles or want to create your own havdalah candles, these molds give you full control. You can choose how many wicks to use ( 2 or more wicks are required for havdalah candles ), decide on the best wicking for your wax and desired burn, and move away from the typical âbonfireâ burn of many traditional havdalah candles. With the right wicking, these candles can burn cleanly, evenly, and beautifully.
Wick suggestion:
2 wicks ( 2 x 3/0) works very well, thread the wicks in the mold by using the middle two holes, donât twist the wicks. You can try 3 wicks as well.
